About Me

My name is Stana Clark and my whole life I have always loved animals. When I was four my mother decided to get me my first dog for Christmas and I have always had a love for dogs. I went to Radford University for Advertising and Graphic Design and after four great years I graduated with a B.A in Communication with a Concentration in Advertising and Graphic Design. I spent a lot of time at college volunteering at my local animal shelter. It would just break my heart to see the hundreds of dogs come in. Some of these dogs were dumped like trash and not worth keeping, to me they were just different souls with different stories to tell. Throughout my life we have always had multiple dogs in the family (Cocker Spaniel, Springer Spaniel, Lab, Border Collie, even Pit Bulls), once I graduated college I wanted to continue volunteering and helping more dogs. I joined Bully Paws Pit Bull Patriots of Fredericksburg, VA. I was welcomed in the group full force.

I worked with Bully Paws for eight years as as foster parent, event coordinator, and the foster coordinator for the rescue. I brought dogs into my home and with lots of love, training, socialization and I manage to find them homes. I successfully found homes for over 60+ dogs. I've dealt with strays, abandoned dogs, sick dogs, puppies, dogs with disabilities, pregnant and/or nursing momma dogs, etc. All dog have had different personalities and all with different back stories. The bottom line is they all needed help. Don't get me wrong I love pit bulls (if you couldn't tell) but I'm an ANIMAL LOVER and I love all dogs and animals in general.

Fostering dogs have allowed me to have a better understanding on certain behavior problems over the years. I always had a knack on how to train dogs, but I wanted to learn more on why we train dogs. So I put myself through school to learn more on the behavior side of dog training by applying to the Animal Behavior College. It was a long process with hard work and determination, but I successful graduated and knew this was my true calling. When I successfully completed my education I was able to start helping more people outside of the rescue world and start my training business. With the help and support of my family, friends and of course my dogs I am happy to have stepped into a new career path.

I now work with The Furever Project as the Foster Team Lead and board member. This allows me to continue to foster and help more and more dogs.
